A Cross-Country Comparison on Supplier Performance Measurement System in Manufacturing Industry

Although many specialists have done research on supplier performance measurement system, it is still one of the most difficult problems for most manufacturing enterprises to choose reasonable measurement indexes and establish a supplier performance measurement system that adapts to enterprises´ development demands. This paper provides an optimum basis for manufacturing enterprises in establishing a modern supplier performance measurement system with reasonable indexes, through analyzing and comparing 202 correlative Chinese and foreign research papers from 1966. Meanwhile, this paper makes the specific analysis on current measurement systems and puts forward the demands of suppliers´ collaborative ability under new environment of supply chain or supply network. This paper also suggests new thinking and methods to solve such a problem mentioned above.
