Abstract
An average control method for quasi-resonant converters (QRCs) is proposed. This control technique eliminates the need for a voltage-controlled oscillator and makes the output of QRCs linear with control. The transfer function of the closed-loop system can be obtained easily; thus, the design of a desired power supply is greatly simplified. Similar to function control is inherently stable and the perturbation of the line voltage can be completely removed. The analytical results were verified by experiments.<>
