Abstract :
English content dominates the Web, while the number of Web users speaking other languages is increasing rapidly. This paper describes a system that uses various cross-language information retrieval methods to provide search engines with capability of automatic search in a local language as well as English even when the user makes search queries only in the local language. The system would be useful for Web users, expanding the international scope of the Web
