Abstract :
This paper describes the first demonstration of an energy efficient OFDM-PON using the dynamic SNR management. The controlling calculation precision and modulation format optimizes the DSP energy consumption while satisfying the BER requirements. We realize a 58.7% effective energy efficiency per bit in an FPGA-based receiver experimentally.
