Abstract :
Cost-effective optical-head was developed using hybrid integration of 660 nm and 780 nm laser-diodes on a Si-photodiode-plate for the DVD-RAM and CD-R compatibility. Its jitter and tilt characteristics satisfy the specifications with 325 /spl mu/m distance between the two lasers.
