Abstract :
A chaotic neural network composed of a chaos neuron having an internal variable is considered. The internal variable is evolved by the Duffing equation. This chaos neuron has an output which is analog value from 0 to 1, or digital value of 0 or 1. The chaotic neural network is applied to well-defined optimization problem in order to investigate computational abilities of this present model. It is seen from simulations that the present model shows good performance compared with that of a piecewise sine map model.
