Abstract
Line by line processing techniques that use the simple l-D algorithms do not exploit the 2-D structure and the interline dependence. In the framework of model based and adaptive filtering we consider various extensions of 1-D algorithms to 2-D algorithms. They are exercised on some applications in image processing.
