Abstract :
We describe a low-complexity frequency-domain equalizer enabling MIMO-SDM transmission. We find that an unconstrained implementation can lead to a considerably reduced complexity with a Q-factor penalty of 0.2 dB. We further discuss complexity scaling of a 1-Tb/s MIMO-SDM interface.
