Title :
Service offerings utilizing digital cross-connect systems-A Bell South perspective
Author :
Anding, Doreen W.
Abstract :
BellSouth´s service offering utilizing digital cross-connect (DCS) technology is called the FlexServ service. The FlexServ service has traditionally been defined as the capability to manage and reconfigure a customer´s voice and data networks with minimum interaction with the Bell Operating Companies (BOCs). The network management capabilities envisioned include network reconfiguration, monitoring of circuit status, security, and management reports. Under this concept, end users would have the same control over their leased network as they would if they were to build their own private network. Applications of the FlexServ are discussed
