Abstract
This paper proposes a new approach, optimal path estimation method, to implement the time optimal bang-bang control. A fuzzy algorithm is used for the implementation of the control logic. The proposed methods are applied to design the power system stabilizers (PSS). The advantages of the proposed methods over the traditional bang-bang control method are illustrated by numerical simulations of a multimachine infinite-bus power system. Simulation results show that the proposed methods can enhance its robustness
