Starting August, 1993, aCIM Co has driven thousands of miles of Los Angeles county streets to develop maps and video images tied to those maps. The practical problems in the data collection effort, the change in thinking that have to accompany a new technology with great promise and the new uses that have appeared as video images, precisely located, become available will be addressed.
