Abstract
In allusion to the character of HF channels, this paper presents an MB-OFDM system, which uses hopping carrier to reduce ISI caused by multi-paths in HF communications. Theoretic analysis shows the system with Rake receiver can improved the BER performance significantly. Monte Carlo simulation results confirm the conclusion and show that more improvement is obtained when the path number increases. These results proved the proposed system can work well in HF fading channel under low SNR
