Abstract :
The radial telescopic tire building drum is composed of a group of planar Linkage mechanism. The stiffness of Linkage mechanism makes a great contribution to the stiffness of building drum. Aimed at a 2-DOF planar parallel mechanism which can be used to make up a building drum, stiffness model of it is established on the analysis of the Link deformation. Based on the numerical simulation, the contribution of the bearing stiffness to the stiffness of building drum Linkage mechanism is analyzed, and the changing regularity of direction stiffness with the expanding of the building drum is revealed.
