Abstract :
A low pressure F/sub 2/ laser is first demonstrated using a longitudinal excitation scheme at a total pressure of 40 Torr. The laser discharge tube of 15 cm long generates an output energy of 140 /spl mu/J and 13.5 %/cm gain.
