Events are the basic elements constituting natural language, and are the important part that natural language describing. First, the concept named event is put forward in natural language. The need for research on event in natural language understanding is analyzed from different point of views. The importance of event level is equivalent to event level. Second, the characters of event are discussed, and an event model adapted for representing the event connotation, the extension and the relation between the connotation and the extension is presented. Third, the knowledge of events in natural language is abstracted and classified based on the event model. The static events that described the abstract knowledge of events are given, and the dynamic events that described the chunk of verb-noun in the environment of actual language are given too, this knowledge is adapted for describing the relation of a chunk of verb-noun.
