Abstract :
This paper focuses on the Kansei of the basic design, especially form-ratio of vertical and horizontal length and brightness of the rectangular parallelepiped is examined by Kansei engineering methodology. Kansei of the ratio and the brightness is analyzed by the use of nonlinear model based on genetic algorithm. At first, we did an evaluation experiment for gathering Kansei data of the basic design. The design candidates used in the experiment were the monochrome 2D rectangular solids drawn by 3D drawing application. The total variation of the sample was 9 × 4 = 36. The number of Kansei word and subject were 10 and 37 respectively. We attempt to find the characteristics of the relation between Kansei and the basic design.
