Abstract :
This paper deals with the read/write (R/W) gap delay measurement and estimation problem in self-servo track writing. Kalman filtering approach is applied in the estimation of the RAV gap delay. The technique presented in this paper is expected to save the process time for capturing the R/W gap delay during self-servo track writing. The simulation result demonstrates the effectiveness of the presented technique
