Abstract :
Neural stimulation has many applications in fundamental and applied research. In this paper, we present a system for real time multisite stimulation on micro-electrode arrays (MEAs). This modular setup provides configurable stimulation patterns and ensures a control-to-data delay (16 mus) compatible with real-time processing. These specifications are necessary to investigate the dynamics of biological neural networks. The setup can be combined to an acquisition system to build a closed-loop platform for hybrid living-artificial networks.
