Abstract :
This paper proposes a simple concept of space vector modulation (SVM), which reduces switching losses in three-phase three-level neutral point clamped (3L-NPC) PWM inverter. This is achieved by using less number of vectors in sampling time as well as proper selection of zero vectors by peak of current tracking. The theoretical principles of this method and modulation algorithm are discussed. Simulation results have proven a good performance and verified the validity of the proposed method
