Abstract :
This paper discusses the conditions which an active wideband echo model in the active echo location should satisfy in a strict sense. Then the analysis of a wideband signal´s velocity and distance resolutions is proposed. It is proved that the duration and the carrier frequency of the transmitted signal determine the resolutions. Finally, the cosine signal with a Gauss envelope is analyzed by the method proposed and some results are given. The work provides an efficient analyzing tool for wideband signal processing
