Abstract :
In this paper we present a novel method for stimulation of the electrodes in cochlear implants. The method is based on a wavelet packet decomposition strategy (db4, for 7 levels) which generates a series of channels with bandwidths exactly the same as Nucleus device. Finally, Performance of the recommended mapping is evaluated by estimating the correlation between reconstructed and original signals with/without the mapping for 10 sample sum of sinus signals of various frequencies, and real audio signals.
