Abstract :
A systematic scheme for the robust design of variable-speed drive systems has been developed. It is engineering-oriented and is based on the classical scheme of conventional two-closed-loop drive control systems. It is shown that the approach is simple, is straightforward, and requires less computation. The resultant systems are insensitive to external disturbance and plant parameter variation. Simulation studies of an actual low-circulating-current fast invertible drive system have verified the effectiveness of the control scheme. The approach is directly applicable to various kinds of multiloop control systems
