            Abstract :
A versatile algorithm that uses a combination of easy-to-solve analytical solutions to permit analysis of internal and external structural impedances of circuit connections is presented. The algorithm makes computation and optimization of stray and parasitic impedances of high-frequency circuits affordable for many power electronic laboratories that for reasons of cost and convenience do not use numerical CAD (computer-aided-design) programs. The algorithm is accurate at DC and very high frequencies since it uses proven solutions to determine asymptotic values. Reasonable accuracy is obtained between the asymptotes by using a one-dimensional solution and approximating round conductors with equivalent square conductors.<>
