Abstract :
This paper reports a novel developed fully solid state Marx type circuit to achieve output voltage pulses with adjustable voltage level, pulse width, and frequency using series connection of half-bridge (HB) or full-bridge(FB) switch-capacitor cells (SCCs). Modularity of the circuit allows an independent control of each SCC which results in a more freedom to control the pulsed power parameters. A laboratory 3KW prototype of the proposed generator topology has been implemented using 1700V IGBTs and a 1kV power supply. Control unit of output pulse parameters has been performed using a FPGA unit.
