Abstract
In this paper, Bayesian networks are presented as an approach to reduce the decision uncertainty associated with selecting sensor operating parameters of a heterogeneous radar fusion system. In a dynamic real-time radar scenario, the situation can vary rapidly, and sensors fail. Particular actions must be taken quickly. Bayesian networks are well suited for these scenarios. The simulation results show that Bayesian networks can be used to adjust the required performance goals upon which sensor operating parameters are selected.
