Abstract
The SAR image processing toolkit, being developed at the Utah State University, is an educational software tool for rudimentary synthetic aperture radar data processing. The toolkit presently processes the Committee for Earth Observation Satellites formatted raw SAR data into a SAR image and has the additional capability to apply speckle filters and compression algorithms on the processed SAR image. This paper explains a practical application of this toolkit. An attempt has been made to make the interferometric SAR process as understandable as possible, both in theory and in implementation, and hence to extend the usefulness of the software as an educational tool.
