Abstract :
The development of the small, portable ROV has provided an invaluable and essential tool for the shallow water marine research community. The ability to directly observe and manipulate sampling devices in real time has opened a new realm of experimentation in marine science. Described here are a few recent applications of small ROV to complex sampling challenges
