Abstract :
Geospatial models represent the knowledge acquired through previous research efforts, and they could be reused in future geographic research and applications to avoid repeating model implementation, especially for those require interdisciplinary knowledge. Glacier meltwater plays a significant role in the local and global human society and nature ecosystem. Models have been developed for glacier research, but using those scientific models requires special knowledge and tools. The paper presents a geospatial model sharing service and a web based glacier runoff simulation system that provides user-friendly interface for publics by integrating the shared models. Using open standard for interactive interface, the model service is accessible by clients cross the Internet with any tool that supports WPS. So far, a glacier runoff model and its dependent meteorological models have been shared on the model service.
