            Abstract :
Due to cost and flexibility, surveillance using unmanned radar platforms is becoming increasingly popular. In this paper, a clutter based motion estimation and compensation technique is presented for a nonstationary radar platform whose position deviates from a nominal stationary point. Comparisons are made with a popular autofocus technique used for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image formation. Example results using data collected with a single channel radar are used to illustrate the approach presented in this paper.
