Abstract
Assessing the effect of interchannel mismatches on cancellation performance is important for success in adaptive airborne radar. This paper develops a cancellation ratio metric to evaluate antenna performance as a function of available adaptive degrees of freedom using eigenvalue analysis of antenna data. Results are demonstrated with simulated antenna data and compared with other methods. The developed cancellation ratio supports better trade-offs between antenna performance and adaptive processor size.
