Abstract :
EcoDesign, the Eco-logically conscious product Design, may be considered as a continuous improvement process leading to a “greener” product. This process nature is well covered by the EMS (Environmental Management System) approach, since the ISO 14001 standard clearly specifies the scope as “the organization´s processes, products and services”. Hence, EcoDesign is part of the Philips strategic approach to incorporate actual environmental improvement into day-to-day business operations
