Abstract :
This paper presents the design and simulation results of a configurable sigma-delta ADC that serves WCDMA/GSM/Bluetooth applications. Accurate system and circuit design of the ADC enable it to meet the wide bandwidth and high dynamic range requirements of the WCDMA and GSM standards while consuming only 11 mW in WCDMA mode and 5.8 mW and 5 mW in GSM and Bluetooth mode, respectively. The modulator is implemented in TSMC0.18 CMOS technology and operates with a 1.8 V supply.
