Abstract :
A new method for modeling circuits with switched capacitors (SC) is proposed. Similar to the SPICE-simulation of circuits in their linear mode of operation for a small ac signals analysis, this method allows you to determine the amplitude and phase frequency responses of the analog-discrete circuits such as sample-hold circuits and SC-filters. The paper shows the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed technique compared with the algorithm used in periodic AC analysis in the simulator for RF circuits, SPECTRERF of Cadence Design Systems, Bracknell, Berkshire, UK. The proposed method enables the incorporation of periodic AC analysis into SPICE-simulators that do not normally support this simulation mode.
