Abstract :
The problems of electromagnetic field (EMF) evaluation in the near vicinity of radiotechnical objects (particularly base stations (BS) of cellular communication systems) are investigated, taking into account the rapid development and wide implementation of various radio communication networks, which lead to the complicated electromagnetic (EM) situation. Therefore this paper briefly describes the most important features, capabilities and limits of the commonly employed EMF prediction methods. Their suitability for the near vicinity situation is examined using the modelling and measurement results.
