Abstract
With the evolution of the World Wide Web, countless online information systems have arisen to make information easy for people to locate and access. This technology has been applied to distribute oceanographic field-test products on a CD-ROM at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL). Information is displayed using HyperText Markup Language (HTML) technology, which provides the ability to integrate text, images, sounds, and access to the Internet, using a standard Internet browser. The finished product is an effective layout that enables users to locate important information quickly and accurately with a minimum of steps
