Abstract
National Spatial Information Infrastructure (NSII) is a public communication network platform responding to needs for wide-ranging spatially referenced information in various problem-solving domains. Spatial Information Grid System (SIGS) in this paper is a new platform of NSII for collecting and managing spatial information to suit for computer processing and scientific data sharing. Data structure will be designed and data model will be selected. The function modules design and implementation of SIGS will be introduced, and partial results will be shown.
