Abstract :
In order to achieve the best trade off between the cost and performance of the power MOSFET in the application of 12V step-down input DC-DC converter, it is important to do the device optimization efficiently. This paper identifies the target function and related variables. Then, different optimization algorithms are compared. In addition, design examples are presented based on the proposed optimization procedure.
