MIB is the core of extension agent; MIB management capabilities directly determine the merits of the entire network management system performance; by analyzing the characteristics of MIB extension agent, this paper proposed a multi-domain binary sort tree storage strategy and studied the search and traversal algorithm of MIB node under the storage strategy which can effectively improve search and traversal efficiency of MIB, for solving the MIB region registered conflict and proposed a region decomposition strategy which ensured the flexibility and reliability of the agent.
