Abstract :
Process control is a statistics and engineering discipline that deals with architectures, mechanisms and algorithms for maintaining the output of a specific process within a desired range. Business processes and quality management both emphasize the benefits that a process oriented view of company operations can bring. It is important to be aware of current business processes and develop an understanding about how the process may be re-engineered to lead to non-defective production at final stage. This brings to main objectives, such as: understanding the process to be re-engineered, creating a vision and ways how to implement this engineering and having basis for starting the redesign. To support these objectives there are different types of tools: statistical, manual, computer supported, etc. This paper describes some of the newer approaches which provide a new perspective on process control beyond the present SPC. Main strategy of the paper is to show the unique set of methods especially for one of processes in electronics. To apply control tools in electronics field PCB assemble process was taken as an example.
