Abstract :
Concepts of individualization represent an enhancement of existing role concepts by containing subjective information demands. Role concepts are related to personalization and grant access to IT resources. By means of context- and situation-based approaches a concept is introduced that provides an individual - as opposed to personalized - access to IT resources in heterogeneous system landscapes. The first part of the concept is the definition of user context and an appropriate UML model. The model includes the user context of a person combined with three authorization concepts of SAP R/3, AIX and Solaris. By means of these authorization concepts the user context model is validated.
