Abstract :
This paper presents the interactions among induction motors after voltage sags in power systems, which is useful for industrial customers to arrange intelligent protection of multiple motors to reduce unnecessary stalling. When voltage sags are cleared in power systems, not all induction motors will reaccelerate successfully. The final state of an induction motor depends not only on its own state but also on the state of other induction motors. The reacceleration of induction motors will cause recovery voltage sags after system voltage sags, which will reversely affect reacceleration of induction motors. Theoretical analysis and dynamic simulations are conducted for the interactions in this paper.
