  • Abstract
    The resonance frequency of 1.55 /spl mu/m VCSEL is enhanced from the free-running 7 GHz to /spl sim/23 GHz with the optical injection technique. This is the highest value reported for VCSELs. This shows the scalability of speed improvement by injection locking. Furthermore, it illustrates a wider applicability to different laser designs.
