Abstract :
Online tests are among the most widely used type of asynchronous interaction in Web-based education. The two main purposes of a test are to evaluate students´ progress and to help students to learn. Recently, the tests have been used to update the student model in an educational adaptive hypermedia system. We propose a model for testing to be used with the AHyCo (Adaptive Hypermedia Courseware) - an adaptive Web-based educational system for creation and reuse of adaptive courseware. Our approach to the process of creating, delivering and evaluating the tests in adaptive hypermedia is described.
