Abstract :
This paper describes a 22-GHz band, 300-W class coupled-cavity type TWT (traveling-wave tube) with a radiation-cooled collector which is now under development. An output power of 330 W with an overall efficiency of 50% is achieved. Three different TWTs are made to enable the evaluation of different slow wave structures and to improve the beam efficiency.<>
