Abstract :
Summary form only given. An overview of parametric processes in photonic crystal is presented, in particular we discuss conditions to obtain the enhancement of parametric amplification in photonic crystals compared to bulk of the same lengths. Results on spontaneous down-conversion also show the possibility of tailoring the photon pair spectrum for quantum information applications.
