Abstract :
Knowledge management offers effective and efficient solutions in knowledge modelling not only for the academic area, but for the corporate sector also. Many areas especially development of knowledge management systems and knowledge-based systems gain benefit from the results of knowledge management. The first step in the development process is the identification and modelling of the organizational knowledge, in many cases of a certain domain knowledge. We deal with the main features of knowledge modelling which summarize the role of ontologies in it and discusses the CommonKADS methodology, which is a standard in analysis and modelling of the organizational knowledge. Finally a case from the field of jurisdiction is demonstrated in CommonKADS.
