Abstract :
A pulse-shaper and convolver system suitable for a 2B1Q echo-canceler transceiver is presented. A very flexible, reproducible and testable digital circuit with 70-80-dB accuracy and linearity can be produced inexpensively in VLSI. Breadboard performance meets ISDN (integrated-services digital network) U-interface specifications. The approach has the flexibility to synthesize other baseband signals like 4B3T and 3B2T.<>
