Abstract
In a multi-in feed HVDC configuration wherein two or more HVDC inverters are supplying into a common AC system, the ability of each inverter to influence its own AC bus as well as ability of one inverter to influence another inverter needs to be carefully studied. This paper discusses a three inverter HVDC configuration in a closely linked AC network which shall be coming up in India in near future. The preliminary investigations on the expected interactions between the three inverter terminals are discussed. The paper discusses the interactions due to temporary over voltage, commutation failure performance and AC/DC fault recovery for the multi-in feed HVDC schemes
