Abstract :
Electrical distortion mitigation simulations at 10 Gb/s using 2 and 4 state Viterbi equalizers exhibit a 3 dB penalty limit for a DGD of 80 ps and for a chromatic dispersion of 3100 ps/nm, which outperforms analog equalizers.
