Abstract :
In the course of updating the GIS database of land use data, the multi-source data always canpsilat match well. In order to update the GIS database of land use data more effectively, scientifically, reasonably and esthetically, based on the GIS data updating quomodo and the practical requirement of land use data updating, a data fusion algorithm of GPS/GIS is presented in the paper. By establishing the error model of the GPS measuring data which is the updating data source, the GIS database is updated by using the method of map matching. First of all, GPS error buffer is constructed in the scope of GPS point, the data of GPS and GIS is fused according to the nearest distance, the most similar direction. The GPS point after fusion is added to GIS database. The topological relationship is rebuilt and database is updated. The simulated result show the data of GPS/GIS can be fused by this algorithm and GIS database can be updated effectively in the work of practical land use data updating.
